This policy explains what personal data Antenna Calculator collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the app, your account and the website mmwave.app. It is in English; if you read the website in another language, this English text is the one that applies.
1. Who is responsible
The controller is [your full name or business name], [postal address]. Contact for anything about your data: [privacy@mmwave.app].
2. What we collect
- Account: your full name, email address, phone number, country, and your password, which we store only as a salted one-way hash (PBKDF2), never in readable form.
- Consents: when you accepted the Terms of Use and this policy, and which version; whether you agreed to receive news and offers, and when.
- Subscription: from Lemon Squeezy we receive your plan, billing period, status, renewal or end date, and the amounts and dates of your payments. We don't receive your card details.
- Student check: the university you chose and your university email address.
- Free trial: when your trial started and ends, and a one-way code made from your computer's ID, so there is one free trial per computer. The code can't be turned back into the ID, and the ID itself never leaves your computer.
- Feedback: what you write in the website's feedback form, and the name and email address if you add them (both optional), with the page language and the country you chose in the site's menu. Only we read it, to improve the app and, if you gave an email address, to answer you.
- Use of the service: when you last signed in, which Setup edition you use, and the IP address of requests to our server, which we use briefly to prevent abuse (for example, too many sign-in attempts) and don't store with your account.
- On your computer: the app keeps a sign-in token and a copy of your plan in your Windows user profile so it can start without asking for your password and work offline. Your calculations and history stay on your computer; we don't receive them.
The website itself has no analytics or advertising cookies. It remembers in your browser if you closed the language suggestion, and the country or region you chose in its menu. Choosing a country is optional. When you do, our server adds one to a count for that country and month; nothing that identifies you is stored with it. To stop that count being inflated, the server keeps a scrambled one-way hash of your IP address for at most two days, and it can't be turned back into the address. If you choose a country before buying, the checkout opens with it already filled in. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
3. Why, and on what legal basis
- To create and run your account, confirm your plan in the app, and support you: to perform our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To protect the service against misuse, for example shared accounts or abuse of the student price: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To send news and offers about Antenna Calculator and future products: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every such email or by writing to us. This doesn't affect anything sent before you withdrew it.
- To keep records the law requires, such as for tax: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)). Lemon Squeezy keeps the payment records as the seller.
4. Who processes your data for us
- Cloudflare: hosts the website, the sign-in server and the account database.
- Resend: sends the emails with codes and download links.
- Lemon Squeezy: runs the checkout and the subscription as the merchant of record. It is responsible for the payment data it collects; see its own privacy policy.
We don't sell your data and don't share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside your country
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while you have an account. If you don't sign in and have no active subscription for [24 months], or when you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, except records we must keep by law or need to handle a dispute. Consent records are kept as long as we need to show that consent was given.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Write to [privacy@mmwave.app] from the email address of your account. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in the EU country where you live, or Israel's Privacy Protection Authority.
8. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as hashes, new accounts and password resets are confirmed with codes sent by email, repeated wrong passwords lock sign-in for a while, and access to the members list needs the owner's password and an emailed code.
9. Children
The service is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy when the service changes and show the date of the current version below. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you by email or in the app.
